How do I change the default photo numbering?
The iPhone organizes the photos in a separate folder for each day as seen when I upload the photos to my laptop. In each daily folder, the photo numbering restarts at 001.
After I've uploaded the photos to my laptop, I want to sort photos of similar subjects into a new folder for that subject. For example, all photos of my big toe that I take on different days I want to move into a new folder on my laptop called "My Big Toe." But when I try to move them, the name of the first photo of one day is the same as the first photo of another day so there is a file name conflict and I end up having to live with a bunch of toe photos "001(1)" and "001(2)" and so on.
Is there not a way to set my iPhone to continue sequential numbering of photos regardless of what day it was taken? So a big toe photo taken today (2-12-13) would be 001 and tomorrow's big toe photo would be 002. Say I took another 3 photos of a tree (003, 004, 005), then a day or two later I took another big toe photo, which would be 006. That way I would never have a renaming conflict.
There's GOT to be a way to change the photo naming sequence settings on an iPhone, is there not?! Or an App for that, perhaps?
