New keyboards do not have an 'option' key, it is the 'alt' key.
Pressing ALT during reboot it does not display the startup manager.
Pressing C during reboot it doesn't start from my usb bootable disk

The Option key is the same as the Alt key, so there's nothing to worry about it because it's normal.
When you press the C key while your Mac is starting, your Mac starts from a DVD, not from an external disk. Turn on your Mac and hold the Option key after the startup sound, so the Bluetooth keyboard can be detected by the Mac
