Battery is hot and drains fast sine 6.1

Since the latest software upgrade the battery is extremely hot and drains quickly.

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 6.1.1

That's too bad, perhaps you should call Apple support or visit an Apple store to get it sorted.
