I don't have a computer to restore my daughters iPod. Is there another way to unlock her iPod?

If you want the data, apps, music etc. that was on the iPod, you will have to sync it with the computer with which it synced previously. If you are willing to start afresh, you can do a restore to factory settings on any computer with iTunes. In either case, you will first have to put it into Recovery Mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

Also if you have no access to a computer with iTunes, you could try calling your Apple store. Perhaps if you brought it to them they could reset it to factory settings for you.


Note that having a password on the iPod (written down somewhere and perhaps shared with her parent) is very prudent. Without the password, if the iPod was lost or stolen a finder/thief would have access to all the information on the device including email address and passwords, contacts and calendar entries.
