Airplay content from Bbc iplayer

I am trying to figure out how to get BBC iplayer content on my iPadmini to stream through my AppleTV gen2 latest update, is this possible?

According to BBC iplayer website, you click Home button and swipe left, doesn't seem logical!

Thanks Julian that helps me understand the action and I now see the volume and brightness controls as well as orientation lock. The only app that appears to work with the play control is the Music App the iPlayer app is in the tray to the right and activated but I cannot figure out how you get it to respond to these revealed controls? I also can't see where to activate Airplay mirroring in Settings? Appreciate you help, thanks.

You don't use the Play control or go into Settings. You use the icon that is a rectangle with a black triangle pointing into it from the bottom.

Have you read and followed the step by step instructions in the Support Article? There's only 5 steps and you're already at Step 3 having swiped the bar to reveal the controls.
