iPad screen onto MAC
How do I get my ipad screen onto my desk top mac so I can video what I'm doing with QuickTime? I'm happy to use a cable if necessary.

This is possible to do but you need to have some additional software on you Mac to allow it to accept an Airplay input - software such as Reflector, AirServer or AirParrot (not recommendations just suggestions as I have not used any of them).
Once you have one of these, or similar, installed and running then you will see your mac as an Airplay device on your iPad and will then be able to capture your iPad screens in your mac.
