Q: what was the rest of that restart? hold apple s

i forgot what the rest of that was can someone please help me? it started out as apple+s or something like that.

eMac, Mac OS 8.6 or Earlier

Does it boot to Single User Mode, CMD+s keys at bootup, if so try...

/sbin/fsck -fy

Repeat until it shows no errors fixed.

(Space between fsck AND -fy important).

Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck...

command + S only works in Mac OS X.

The additional commnds will be shown on the boot window.
