Hi, I am trying to save a word doc. but the system says it's "full trying to save to Mac HD". It's a brand new Macbook Air and I have lots of space and no other apps open. I also tried to save on an external drive but it won't work. Any help pls?
MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
Can you save a file from another application, such as TextEdit, to the same folder? Can you save a file in Word to the Desktop?
many thanks, I did save in textedit but was not much use because all the macros get lost. could not save on the desktop or anywhere else. at the end, I had to shut down the computer and lose all the recent changes to the doc..
I was asking whether you could save a different file to that folder. It sounds like the problem is confined to Word, so you'd have to go to Microsoft or its user forums for support.

word for mac won't save any docs..
