Apple Wireless Keyboard question

I have an Apple Wireless Keyboard that I have been using with my iPad for the past year. the green light power light in the upper right hand corner is blinking....I have replaced the batteries and stil blinking. Went to Settings, General, Boothtooth and the Apple Wireless Keyboard entry has a rotating circle next to it. What is my next step to get rid of the blinking green light and begin to use the wireless keyboard again?

Thank You,
