Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Why does my calendar automatically alert 30 minutes before events?

iPhone 5

Whenever I enter events on my calendar it automatically sets an alert 30 minutes before the event even if I click the option of "None" in alerts when I create the event. I then have to exit calendars, go back in and change it back to "None" as it will have automatically changed it to "30 minutes before".

I also have an event set for every week and even though I keep changing it to No alert (for all future events) it constantly changes it back to "30 minutes before". Every week!

Thanks

iPhone 5

It sounds like you're sharing the calendar with some other system that is overruling what you do on your iPhone to avoid the alerts.

Investigate the other places your calendar may be set and have your iPhone's actions overruled.
