Feb 13, 2013 1:39 PM in response to arizonadonnby mende1,Officially, Apple says that the Mid 2011 iMac only supports 8 GB of memory (4x2 GB), but you can install up to 32 GB of memory (4x8 GB) on your Mid 2011 iMac.
You can buy the memory in OWC or Crucial (Crucial is cheaper and offers the same compatibility warranty as OWC). If you need help installing the memory, see > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1423?viewlocale=en_US
