Note that it only is valid in the US ITunes Store, so if you live elsewhere, you will not be able to use their codes even if you wish to take the risk.

I think FreeMyApps is considered as Safe and Legitimate. As per this authentic site article which clearly states FreeMyApps is safe.

If you don't mind giving them your UDID and installing their profile, trusting that it has no hidden or non-specific code or functions, have at it. Note also that this very method of bypassing the official App Store for installation of an app is not supported nor condoned by Apple for the very reason that they have no way of vouching for the authenticity nor safety of any such app you install. If the app does cause you problems of any kind, you have no recourse at all through Apple.

Nothing in life is truly free though, and anybody claiming to offer such a thing has their own agenda for doing so.
