Is a late 2008 Macbook Air worth $400?

Here are some of the specs: Macbook Air 13.3" / 120GB SSD / Core Duo 1.6G Hz/ 2GB RAM/ Late 2008 / MAC OS X Lion Installed

Model A1304

I was just wondering if this was a decent deal. I am planning on upgrading from a ibook g4 to either this or a macbook aluminum this year. Would this be slow with basic tasks like youtube, netflix, and hulu, or spreadsheet and word docs? I would also like to be able to use it for some audio (and maybe video) editing and recording. But i could do that on my home pc if i have to.

Would it hold up well in 2013? Are there any known issues with this particular model? Or should I just go out and buy an iPad mini, or an aluminum macbook?

The late 2008 MacBook Air was the second generation MacBook Air. The first generation came out in early 2008. Already, the first generation MacBook Air cannot run the latest version of OS X. It can only go as far as Lion. Extrapolate that and you will see you should not expect the late 2008 Air to run the most current software for much longer.

I think for that reason the iPad Mini or any other current machine would be a far better choice than a machine that will soon be obsolete.

That's just my opinion, of course.
