My TV will play movies via apple tv but on trying to play tv shows keeps asking for authorization..why ? How do I authorize ? Many thanks

Are the movies purchased from the iTunes Store and if so were they purchased from the same account as the TV shows.

Have you tried restarting the Apple TV yet.
