Feb 14, 2013 10:34 AM in response to kiccolsdby BDAqua,★HelpfulHello, sounds like it's getting disconnected, USB3 & Bluetooth seem to have an interference problem.
In Finder's Menu, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes". (no quotes)
Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.
Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1 or 2 if there are no real files in them, and reboot.
If it does contain data...

Feb 15, 2013 9:19 AM in response to kiccolsdby BDAqua,I also noticed that my USB3 HDD connected to the mini is replicated few times in the login elements menù
Highlight the extra ones there, then click on the tiny minus icon below.
Maybe this would help?
SMBUp
Did you lose your shared folders with the update of Mac OS X from Snow Leopard to Lion? You can’t see your shared folders from your DVR or Medicaneter boxes hooked up to your TV? The internet tells you to install gigabytes of developer tools and use tons of command-line instructions to regain the ability to see your mac from your other devices in the house after moving to Lion? We might be able to help.

No didnt work, I have tried several times. Everytime I loose Music shared folder I'll find a replicated Western Digital USB3 in login elements, one for every attempt to re-add music folder in the login menu.
Btw I'll try SMBUp and report back...

Oct 14, 2013 12:21 AM in response to kiccolsdby solarman24,Hi, do you have your problem already solved?
I have the same problem with AFP enabled on my OS X 10.6.8 Server. There are different Folders wich disappears sporadically.
As I have read in other communities there seems to be a problem with special caracters such as ä, ö, ü, è and so forth. And the problem does just appear from Clients with OS X 10.6.. Clients with 10.8 don't have the problem.
So I want just to confirm if that could be the problem in your case.
- Do you have the problem also with clients on 10.6?
- Does the problem-folder have special caracters in it?

Oct 14, 2013 5:20 AM in response to solarman24by kiccolsd,Hi Solarman24,
I gave up with this issue because nothing was effective in fixing it. BTW the client was a macmini with ML 10.8.3 and the shared folders were special caracters free.
Hope this feedback could help someone...
Ps. Maybe mavericks is going to fix this... I hope!
