I have two computers running the same version of FCP X 10.0.7 and one will import mxf and ex footage flawlessly while the other wont even try. Why is that???

"Wont even Try" Now, that sentence is pretty broad... Does FCPx tell you "I dont feel like trying" or does it break wind... Be easier to win in lotto than trying to figure out what your problem is ;-))))
2) Are you having identical codecs installed on both Computers ?
