Search feature in Messages app not working properly..

When using search in"Messages", I type the name that I am searching for-to find our conversation-but it pulls up group convos including that contact, as well as other convos where that name was mentioned-but not the convo between just us. Why?

This happened when I updated to 6.0 and is not resolved in the most recent update.

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.1

I have this same problem. Whenever I try to search for someones name in the Messages app search bar it only gives me words in the conversation not the person. It started doing this about a month ago. I wonder if it's because of the amount of text message conversations. Is there anyway to delete or purge old conversations, say older then 3 months?

please help.

iphone 4s, latest ios.
