help after reset of ipad 2

I just did a wipeout or reset of my ipad. I am now in the part to choose network, but when I do it needs password and I forgot what it was. Also under choose net work it has a lock key, probably why I need to choose password. Now what do I do?

Will this affect me then when I go to open up my new ipad that came today as I am afraid to open it up thinking it will not work then. on this network.

Can some one tell me what to do step by step? I am dumb at this.
