Upgrading to 6.1.1 hasn't solved the problem with network connection on 4S. Still "No Servise"!

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.1

i thought i'm the only one. i'm still struggling to establish a connection to 3G network for data

Hmm, this should have sorted it. I have an iPhone 4Gs on Vodafone and I don't have a problem.

Have you tried doing a reset?

Do this by pressing the Sleep and Home button for a while until the screen goes dark and that Apple logo comes up (typically around 10 - 20 seconds). Once this happens, release the buttons and let the iPhone completes its reboot process (typically around 1 minute.

I hope that this sorts out your problem.

i think i've tried everything: reseting the phone, reseting network settings, removing sim card- nothing helps. Problem appeared first time when i upgraded phone to 6.1. And now after upgrading to 6.1.1 which is  supposed to help, the problem still exsist.

I think that you need to speak to your mobile network provider and, if they cannot help, then speak to Apple. I am in UK and I am with Vodafone who are know about the problem with software version 6 and told us to not use it. They then told us that we should upgrade to 6.1.1 .

Same here.  Everything was fine running on ios 6.0, I don't know what possessed me to upgrade!  I contacted O2 and thet went through the usual settings; reboot; airplane mode etc and it works for a while (like 5 mins) then service is losted with the network.  I've even deleted the exchange email account and rebooted as read on the internet that this would fix the problem.... guest what....yep no joy!  This is clearly a faulty software update and need fixing pronto!  I've read that ios6.1.2 will be out soon to fix the firmware that was suppose to fix the initial network problem.   When will this be realeased Apple?!  It's hardly fit for purpose when I can't make calls or surf the internet.

This is not a perm fix.  I've rebooted so many times that I'm sure soon my home & power button will be broken.

Has ios 6.1.2 solved the problem?

  • Hao D Level 1 Level 1

6.1.2 does not solve the 3G problem at all. I have Iphone 4S in Vietnam and it was OK before 6.1.1. Upgraded to 6.1.1 then no more 3G. I was hoping for 6.1.2 but after upgrading to 6.1.2 it's the same. Althought 2G is still working but an Iphone without 3G is like an normal Nokia phone.

6.1.2 only addresses a push failure of outlook/exchange mail servers which drain the battery.  6.1.1 was designed to address the signal issues associated with iPhone 4s only.

Without reading all replies I would assume you've backed up/saved all data to a computer and restored as new through iTunes to test the issue?

Same problem in Russia! My phone has no service, can't make calls at all. At the same time my micro sim is totally fine, so it's software problem!

It's currently on and off. I'm able to connect successfully in the morning but difficult to connect in the evenings maybe due to traffic from the sites I visit but when I google search results appear quick( when sites are not responding). I'm typing in the morning now and connection is perfect but from 5pm bad connection. I'm currently running 6.1.2
