My IPod touch 4g won't go passed the apple logo!!!!!

Hi,

My mate liam jailbroke my iPod touch recently and he tried to get Siri. He managed to get it from cydia and it kept crashing my iPod and now I turned It of over night it won't come back on it just stays in the apple loading screen. Please help me!! This is my only apple gadget besides my dads iPad. And I use it a lot, I cant live to my bday which is in April to get the iPhone 4 so please tell me a way I can fix it or if I have to take it to the apple store.

Btw: my internet ***** so much and it's downloading ISO 6.1 now but it's saying 10 hours.

Do you think it will work?

Also I have a a ISO 6.0 and it won't let me restore it.

It says error verifying ISO.

Your problems result form jailbreaking your device. If connecting in recovery mode can't bring your original iOS back, your device became useless due to the jailbreak.

Problems with jailbroken devices can't be discussed here, due to the Terms of Use of these forums, sorry.

Unauthorized modification of iOS has been a major source of instability, disruption of services, and other issues

I understand but i didn't do it.

What my queston is: I have my ipod touch pluged in to itunes and downloading the new software right now as we speak, Im wondering will it be okay and working fully when its downloaded? will itunes let it install? i really want it back.

Please tell me.

I don't care about the jailbreaks cant be discussed i just want to know if i can remove the old jailbroken software and replace it with the new one im downloading? also if itunes doesn't let me restore it is there a alterative software that can do it or do i need to upgrade my itunes agian.

Btw: Doesn't let me install ISO 6.0 because of a error.

And im 14 so i really need help or my parents will kill me for breaking it when i didn't do it...!

As already mentioned, jailbreaking your device can make it useless. And if restoring in recovery mode does not work, your out of luck.

You'll have to search other places for answers, start by asking your "mate" liam to come up with some ideas to fix this.
