WIFI GREY OUT PROBLEM!!!!

My iPhone's WiFi was working great on iOS 6.0 till 13 Feb'13 no problems whatsoever, until lately it failed after i upgraded to iOS 6.1. The WiFi option unable me to proceed with the selection of "ON" or "OFF", the WiFI was greyed out.

I have called the Apple Hotline serveral times from guiding me along with the troubleshooting, upgrading my phone to iOS 6.1.1, I thought it may help to fix the problem but it's useless. The WIFI IS STILL GREY OUT. I do not understand why it happen and there are so many complaints relating to this Wifi Grey Out issue.

I have been a supporter for Apple products. I have started from Iphone 3, Iphone 4, Iphone 4S and Ipad 1. All work perfectly well except 4S. It's giving me big headache. It seems that it's the software and hardware incompatible issue, why do I have to borne for the servicing charges???? (Warrenty period just end Dec 2012 for Iphone 4S). I do not understand why it has failed and have never dropped it .The WiFi was working great till yesterday and suddently this happened. I am very disappointed in terms of it's durability.

Note : Reset the network settings, restored the phone and even tried using the phone as new and this has still not fixed the problem.

You should take your iPhone to the nearest Apple store for service. Take a look at this link, http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1559 it looks like you tried all of the steps listed.

I recently upgrade my iphone 4S to ios 6.1.1.I'm having the exact same problem. I wasn't having any issues with wi-fi connectivity prior to 6.1, now i'm having them all the time.MY WI-FI IS GREYED OUT.It happened AS SOON as I updated to iOS 6.1 on my iPhone 4S.I tried to RESTORE my iphone but still the wi-fi is greyed out.I resetted the NETWORK SETTINGS also but none worked.Please help me..

Apple, obviously this isn't a one off situation...Please do something to fix this!!!

Hi Eric,

Yes, I have tried all of the steps listed. I am full of regrets to upgrade my phone iOS. Should this due to phone hardware and software incompatibility cause the wifi turn grey, I think Apple should take into consideration to provide 1 to 1 exchange of phone instead of sending it to the Service Center. Moreover, my phone is no longer under warranty, do you think it's fair for us to pay for servicing charges??
