How do I add music to an 8gb Nano 4G from my 300 gb iTunes library?

I have a clean 8gb iPod Nano 4G. I wish to sync it with iTunes but only selected ones. Do I have to go through the whole iTunes library (its massive), unticking those I don't want to be synced? Or what?

To sync to your iPodgo to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions. Only check the items you want synced to the iPod.
