Hi,
Open Console (Applications > Utilities > Console.app). On the left in the Console you should find the Crash Reporter log for the iCal Crash. What does it say? You only need to post the first 40 lines or so.
Best wishes

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP HELP!!!
Hi Tony,
From the log it looks like the application is is crashing trying to sync with a CalDAV calendar (possibly iCloud).
If you make a new User account on the computer. Does iCal open in the new user account?
John M
Hi John
Thanks so much for your prompt reply.
I am not sure what do you mean make a new User account. Should I delete the current my existing iCal and re-add the new one? I have no problem with iCal before, but it just happens in last few days.
Should I delete the account and re-do it now?
cheers
Tony
Another clash, just after I post the last message, it is same as the few mins ago. 😢
I think I am going to delete the account and re-do it now. 😟
No, I mean go into System Preferences > 'Users & Groups' and make a new User account to log into the computer. Then log into that user account and try iCal there.
I add the user and in iCal add the calednar back and I can see everything. But not sure what next and will it clash again.
What should I do now? Should I delete the iCal and re-do in my old account?
Oooop it seems like, it hasn't updated my appointments with Gmail yet. is that causing the problem?
I just delete the iCloud in my iCal. Not sure iCloud does any good or bad for me. But hope it works. I give it a go.
By the way, thank you so much for your help John.
cheers
Tony
Hi John
Could you give me some advise. My iCal still have problem and it closes after I add a new event and when it was updating.
I created another user account and relaugh the iCal with my same Google account. I add and delet events from iCal (new user). It was OK. But then when I did it again back from my original user then it clash again.
Could you help me and advise me how could I resolve this problem, please.
Thank you so much.
cheers
Tony
Hi Tony,
The next thing I would try is to reset your Sync Services. For instructions see "Mac OS X: Resetting the SyncServices folder".
John M
Thank you John
I will try it because need to fix my Time Machine first to backup the data.
Thank you so much.
cheers
Tony
