network print

Hi ,

I have an issue with network print . i have mac pro installed 10.6 , i had mac OS 10.5 and configured with Xerox DC252 network printer. after system crash , i upgrade the OS with 10.6 ( without formating the disk , since i had lots of data and emails configured ). the now the system is workin but i am unable to print on Xerox network printer.

i removed the all old printer drivers and installed fresh with latest dricers avaible on xerxo support site. still i can not able to print. please can you advise me how to fix this problem.

when i make any print command , the printer pops up with message " you need to install software to use this printer , to install software choose update from apple menu." i did update as well but no result.

i think printer port is blocked after upgrading...

please advise me the solution.

Have you tried rebooting? You can set safari to download to the desktop, so you can see what's going on. If you have downloaded and installed the software and drivers for the correct OSX, deleted and recreated the printer in the printer cache, do it thru out the network. Then reboot everything, and set it all for the XRXDC252.
