Applications Install DVD problems

Hello,

I just upgraded my 13 inch Macbook Pro Early 2011 harddive from 320 to 750GB, installed the OS again, everything went fine. But then, I updated to mountain lion from snowleopard , installed the application install disc but nothing shows up on the screen ( I hear it spin for a while, then it ejects). I think it's because I tried to installed the application install disc after updating to mountain lion. How do I fix this?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

You start over, reinstalling SL and the apps, then upgrade to ML.

Still nothing. Is there another way I can know if the disc is acknowledged?

If the disc is still ejecting, then Zap the PRAM and Reset the SMC, and try again.

I just finished doing that twice and still nothing. I did try another dvd just see if it'll worked and it did. So, I'm not sure why this.

Then, the disc is faulty. Get a replacement from AppleCare.
