I use to check in my address book preferences Don't Show Address when emailing a group. I can't find that preference any more and when I email a group it sends the email to all the addresses in the group rather than to the group. I don't want to share people's addresses. That's why I checked don't show address in the group. How can I avoid the address showing when emailing a group?

Go to mail preferences>composing, and make sure under addressing: when sending to a group show all member addresses is not clicked. This is in mail 4.6 in cae you're using an older version.

Use BCC if you do not want addresses displayed. Email routers don't know anything about your group, and won't be able to deliver messages if the actual addresses are not included.
