Feb 14, 2013 9:07 AM in response to Farleigh15by KiltedTim,A) Is the device you're trying to pair with in discoverable mode?
B) Does the device you're trying to pair with support one or more of the supported bluetooth profiles? You can not pair it with a computer or another phone with the exception of tethering the Internet connection to your computer.

hard to help if you will not provide info.
He asked:

Feb 14, 2013 10:10 AM in response to Farleigh15by wegras,I know I am going to regret this ...........
So it all used to work but now doesn't after updating the iOS ???
Did you update using over the air or through iTunes plugged into a PC/Mac
if over the air try a restore of the iPhone using a backup
BUT first try deleting all bluetooth connections on the iPhone
Settings >>>bluetooth>>>pick each device press small blue arrow on right
>> forget this device
Do for each one and then start from scratch again following advice you have been given
