Quick answer: Yes, It will work.
The ST320LT007 is SATA II (3 Gb/s). Might want to go to "About this Mac" ---> "More Info...." ----> "System Report" -----> click on "Serial-ATA" and make sure the Link Speed is 3 Gigabit. If it's 1.5 Gigabit, the HDD will still work since SATA is backwards compatible, but at half the transfer rate.

The height is not relevant to performance. It's just a physical measurement. Your computer was designed for 9.5mm high drives which only means there is plenty of room for a 7mm high drive. Pick the one you think is best for your needs at a price you are willing to pay. You can make your decision based on $ per GB.
