preferences crashes iCal

I'm using Microsoft Exchange server for iMail, Contacts and Calendar. Mail and Contacts work fine, but Calendar doesn't allow me to enter new appointments. If I click on "preferences" I get the spinning wheel and have to Force Quite Calendar. Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Hi,

Can you turn off the Exchange 'Calendars & Reminders' sync in System Preferences > "Mail, Contacts & Calendar'?

I've tried both ways, checked and unchecked, but it makes no difference. Still have the wheel from **** when I try preferences in iCal. Thanks for trying!
