keynote remote skip slides

I am trying to figure out how to skip slides using keynote remote or view it in a non linear format.

This may be the most Microsoftish effect I've come across using Keynote. I'd love to be able to skip a slide that isn't appropriate for this setting or isn't timely to where I'm going next in my presentation...

Any ideas?

The only way I know how to do it is to add hyperlinks into the slides. You can find them under the wrench icon, then advanced. you could make a link on one of the words on a page, or do page numbers or something & then when you need to skip a slide, just hit that on the ipad. I don't know of any quicker/ easier methods.
