Cannot conect via WiFi if a security code is required. Am I dead in the water, or is there a solution?

Hello,
Have you tried removing your wireless security and then connected your PowerBook?
If that connects fine then the problem is with your security encryption. If you have an encryption of WPA/WPA2 and your running Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, then check your Airport Extreme firmware meets the required update to connect to WPA/WPA2. If you own a Titanium PowerBook G4 then you won't be able to connect to WPA2 encryption wireless network with the built in Airport Card.
