I bought an adapter so I can download pictures from my camera to my IPad. iTunes cannot recognize the camera. I checked the user guide and said, unlock your IPad. How 's this is done?
If you can navigate in any apps, your iPad is unlocked. Unlocking the iPad is when you slide the Slide to Unlock bar at the bottom of the iPad like when you wake the iPad up from sleep mode. If you are using your iPad, it is unlocked.
Using USB to connect camera to ipad won't work so, instead I used the other adapter for SD card and it comes out with no problem. Pictures come out right away for importing. I guessed that why it comes in pair, one for USB (using the charging cord) and SD card. Either in JPEG OR RAW format.
I barely remove the SD card from my camera for a lot of reason.

You would have to connect the iPad directly to the computer with the supplied cable in order for iTunes to see the iPad.
