Q. anybody having this problem
After updating to os 6.1 my microphone is not not working on any app's it worked fine till I updated ( itouch 4 gen) 8GB
apps not working :
Skype
Voice Memos
Facetime
Note: in facetime the mic icon has a slash through it .
In Voice Memos
iPod touch, iOS 6.1, Ver. OS 6.1 (10B144)
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

thank you for your help 😁 but........... nothing working I updated to 6.1.2 hoping for a fix but lllaass none 😟 I restored useing every option possible to were my Ipod just says ipod (setup as new) do you have any other thought's that I may try???.
Again thanx so much for your help!!!! P.S. I see people have had this problem before for sometime now do you know if there was a hardware issue ? because it worked fine till I updated to 6.1
