I will be on a trip with no internet access (in a plane). I want to buy or rent a couple of movies and download them to my MacBook Air to watch . Once I have downloaded them will I need internet access in order to watch them???
Also, can I rent a movie and not watch it until a few days later, if I don't start it?
Any good tips for having this go smoothly?

You can for sure buy (and I also believe rent) a movie and you don't need the internet connection to watch them. You can watch a rented movie anytime, but once you start, you'll only be able to watch it (as many times as you like) for a 24-hour period.
