iMessage problems on iPod touch

My ipod touch of 4th generation, won't for some reason allow me to recieve photos through imessage. So what happens is if someone sends me a photo on imessage I can only view the photo if I click on it straight away(within seconds of recieving it) others wise the photo disappears and once i have viewed the photo it disappears as well. Thow I dont have a problem sending photos to other people. Would anyone happen to know why this is happening or how I could possibly fix it??

Thankyou 🙂

Try:

-iOS: Troubleshooting Messages

- Does this happen with photos from one user? Try getting another user so send you them. Maybe there is something wrong with the format from that one person

-The standard fixes:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
