Macbook air cannot load!!!

I had notice that having macbook air especially upgraded to Moutain Lion, could not load at startup. Especially when my internet isn't working! Hence I had to shut down manually and restart again.

Question:

1. If i would repeat this frequently will it damage my hardware at all non-fault but the firmware?
2. Will MAC guarantee if it does breakdown?
