Pages 09, problems with merging with Contacts

Hi there,

I'm new to the Mountain Lion world.

I used to work with pages 08 and Carnet d'adresses on Leopard.

I had many model documents ready to merge with carnet d'adresses on Leopard.

I managed to transfer all my clients vcards on Contact.

I managed to transfer all my model documents from 08 to 09 pages on my new laptop.

I thought I would just have to drag the vcards from Contacts to the model page but actually it doesn't work at all.

I've tried using one of the Pages' models and drag a vcard on them but it also didn't work. So I guess the problem doesn't come from the model I created on 08.

What do I need to do? Have you ever experienced this situation? 😟

Bubu,

Could you post a screen shot of your Pages document with the Link Inspector Merge window? That would make it easier to talk about what is happening.

Hi Jerrold,

thanks for your help.

I ended up phoning the Apple support and it took them one hour and forty minutes to find out where the problem was 😮

In fact if you buy from APPstore Pages09 and fail to tick a box in the preference system, in the security and confidentiality menu, your Contacts application and Pages won't be able to work together.

That was a very tricky question I asked the staff. I had to have an engineer to have a look at the problem as the other persons I had previously on the phone had the same problem as I had on their screens and couldn't find the solution.

We've had that come up here in the past, probably beginning the first week that ML was released.
