Updating PC

Hi all

I've had to buy a new PC, as my old one does'nt boot up anymore, I subscribe to itunes match, so when I install itunes onto the new PC, can I recover (download) all my music from my icloud? Will I lose all my playlists? Also, if I can redownload them ,can I also store them on my hard drive on the new PC?

Thanks

Hi,

Sign into itunes store and into Match. You will be asked to add this computer. Match will scan your library and then display all you music that you have in imatch.

Each track will have download symbol when you view library in song view. Therefore you can download and store on your computer.

It is also a good idea if you also create a backup on an external drive if you already have one. Don't rely on the cloud as your sole back up.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for replying, so as I have 9000 + songs I have to down load each song again from my icloud, is that right, you say about creating a back up, when would I do that? when I ask to download each track, would it save it to my PC then? If so just create a folder on my hard drive and have everything downloaded to that. Or do I ahve to do it after they have been downloaded from my cloud?

Thanks

Paul
