Stop iPhoto from switching view to connected iOS device

Hi everyone,

is there a way to always open iPhoto showing my events, even when there’s an iPad/iPhone connected? It is very annoying to have it switch automatically to the connected iOS device. Usually there even aren’t any photos on the devices since I do import them using Image Capture anyway.

I am NOT talking about iPhoto automatically opening, just about automatically selecting the iOS device in the sidebar!
