ECC memory on PowerMac G5

I assume it does not work, though I just wonder if I install ECC PC3200 memory in single 1.8G PowerMac G5(M9555J/A).

Hello, only the 2005 Dual Core/PCIe G5s can use ECC...

1. Use of ECC Memory in 2005 G5 Optional.

Apple standard included non-ECC memory in 2005 Apple Power Macintosh G5 Models and offered ECC memory as an option. In order to use ECC Memory in Power Mac G5 - all installed memory must be of the ECC Non-Registered type.
