FCPX installed, want to partially install FCS3 (FCP7, STP3)

Hi

I have new drive in MBP 2.66ghz (10.6.8) and have reinstalled FCPX and Motion 5. I want to reinstall FCP7 & STP3 from my FCS3.

Do I still need to create folder titled Final Cut Pro X and put in FCPX and Motion 5? If so, after installing FCP7 & STP3, can I take X and Motion 5 back out of folder because FCS3 stuff gets put in folder anyways?

MacBook Pro 2.66 ghz, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

I would first uninstall FCPX and M5. Then update SL – if your profile is correct – to the latest version. install FCS from the disks; run all of the updates through Software Update until there are no more. Repair permissions. Download FCPX and M5. (Be aware that if you intend to send clips from FCP7 to Motion, you will need to install M4, because there is no inter-operability with FCP7 and M5.)
