Q: Files created date all the same after transfer

I bought a new iMac and used Windows Migration Assistant to transfer the files from pc to iMac wirelessly. This took about 15hrs for  about 100GB

Checking the data on my new iMac I realised that the file property 'date created' is set to the date of the transfer for all transferred files!

Did I do something wrong?

How can I retrieve correctly the right 'date created' info from the pc files on my iMac?
