iPhone4 wifi sync to Macbook Air

iPhone4 > Macbbok Air


Issue: Syncing Calendar events created on phone to computer fails over both wifi and USB. Syncing Calendar events created on computer to phone successful using both methods.


iCloud Backup: off

Computer firewall: off

Renew Lease for wifi Network allowed devices connect

Replace information on this phone for Calendar is unchecked.

Calendar events created on phone do not sync to computer over both wifi & USB

Calendar events created on computer sync to phone using both methods

Contact entries created on either device sync successfully using both methods


Any ideas most appreciated!

Reset the SyncServices folder on your Mac as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627, then try again.

Launch Terminal from the Applications>Utilities folder. Paste the command into termanal and press Enter. The full instructions are:


  1. In the Finder, choose Utilities from the Go menu.
  2. Open Terminal.
  3. In the Terminal window, type or paste the following command on a single line:
    /System/Library/Frameworks/SyncServices.framework/Versions/A/Resources/resetsync .pl full
  4. Press Return.
  5. Quit Terminal after the operation has completed (when Terminal returns to the command prompt with a $).
