My macbook (unibody aluminum model late 2008) is running slowly, getting stuck and not respondings alot! I upgraded the system to os x snow leopard but that didn't make it better.

What's the matter?

If you have not already done so, back up your Mac since those symptoms may indicate a failing hard disk drive. It can be replaced, if necessary.

Start your MacBook using its original System Install DVD and run Disk Utility. Repair the disk. Report any errors it finds.
