Q: how to reset Mac OS X to factory setting

I want to delete everything and bring my Mac OS X 10.5.8 to factory setting,  like if it was new

iPhoto '08, Mac OS X (10.5.8), MacOS Xsnow Leopard version 10.5.8

    Insert the computer's original DVD, restart with the C key held down, and perform an Erase & Restore. If you're doing this because you want to sell or give away the computer, throw away all files which may contain sensitive data and securely empty the Trash first, and include the DVD with it.

     

    If you're using a MacBook Air, use its original thumbdrive instead of a DVD, and restart with the Option key held down.
