Recently my screen is periodically going black and my charge display is stuck at 66%

Recently the screen on my Macbook Pro will suddenly go black. So far I have been able to revive it by pushing/holding the on / off button and plugging in the power cord. Another thing that I notice is that the charge won't go any higher than 66%. Any ideas on what is happening and what I should do? I am not computer technical. Thanks.
