OS X Snow Leopard

Hi All,

Sorry for my ignorance here but I would like to know if the OS X Snow Leopard install disc can be used for both an upgrade and a full install of the OS.

The retail DVD can be used for either. The DVDs which originally shipped with a Mac can only be used for a full install on that Mac model and won't work on other models.

Thanks for the quick response.

Ok sounds good, thank you! I'll be heading to an Apple store soon to purchase one. The version I saw on this site cost $20. Is that the cost of it or was that one for upgrades only? It seems pretty cheap.
