Why is my Apple ID disabled?

When I try to download apps on my new iPhone, I get the message that my Apple ID is disabled. I've already reset my password. Everything else looks fine. How can I fix this? Do I have to create another account?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.0.1

As Roaminggnome stated, creating a new ID will just add to your issues....Here is a link that provides some guidelines for a disabled AppleID - make sure you have updated all of the areas indicated for your actual iPhone. If you cannot get it resolved, the bottom of the article provides links for further support from Apple:
