Hello,

I get this message in SMTP log file, although the mail service is working fine.

After stopping and starting the mail service, the log is showing this:

Feb 16 02:15:28 myserver postfix/master[24979]: terminating on signal 15

Feb 16 02:15:30 myserver postfix/postfix-script[25019]: fatal: the Postfix mail system is not running

Feb 16 02:15:30 myserver postfix/master[25063]: daemon started -- version 2.4.3, configuration /etc/postfix

Feb 16 02:17:01 myserver postfix/master[25063]: terminating on signal 15

Feb 16 02:17:03 myserver postfix/postfix-script[25099]: fatal: the Postfix mail system is not running

Feb 16 02:17:04 myserver postfix/master[25143]: daemon started -- version 2.4.3, configuration /etc/postfix

Feb 16 02:34:08 myserver postfix/postfix-script[25365]: fatal: the Postfix mail system is not running

Feb 16 13:52:02 myserver postfix/postfix-script[29232]: fatal: the Postfix mail system is not running

Feb 16 13:52:22 myserver postfix/postfix-script[29297]: fatal: the Postfix mail system is not running

Feb 16 14:02:10 myserver postfix/postfix-script[29476]: fatal: the Postfix mail system is not running

Feb 16 14:02:25 myserver postfix/postfix-script[29539]: fatal: the Postfix mail system is not running

Feb 16 14:05:07 myserver postfix/postfix-script[29634]: fatal: the Postfix mail system is not running

Feb 16 14:05:23 myserver postfix/postfix-script[29704]: fatal: the Postfix mail system is not running

But again, mail is working well (sending and receiving messages works).

I just noticed that the spam filter may not work, it does not mark spam mails (although the filter's log file shows activity). But I guess this happened because of the fact that the server has been installed a few days before and the filter may be in training phase (correct ?).

Is this something to worry about ? A way to track down the problem ?

Thank you,

Max.
