Are the ipad 2, 3 and 4 'new ipad' the same size?

My mum has just bought the 'new ipad' 1548 ipad 4. I want to buy her a case, but none specify that they will fit this ipad. If I bought an ipad 3 case will it fit the ipad 4, and will the connecter slots and on/off button still be accessible?

Thanks!

The iPad 3 & 4 have the same height and width as the iPad 2. However, the iPad 3 & 4 are slightly thicker than the iPad 2. An iPad 3 case will fit an iPad 4. The only difference between the iPad 3 and 4 is the iPad 3 uses a 30-pin connector while the iPad 4 uses the new lightning connector.
